1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the website modhomecarpentry.com and any services provided by Modhome Custom Cabinets LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"), an insured custom cabinet maker and finish carpenter operating in the State of Maryland. By accessing our website or engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Use of Website

You may use this website for personal, lawful purposes only. You agree not to use the Site in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the Site, or interfere with another party's use of the Site.

3. Services

Modhome Custom Cabinets LLC provides residential and light commercial cabinetry and finish-carpentry services including custom cabinets, interior trim and finish carpentry, custom closets, built-ins and bookcases, stairs, steps and railings, door installation and repair, and vanity installation across Gaithersburg, MD and the surrounding DC Metro area within a 50-mile radius. Submitting a contact form or requesting an estimate does not create a binding contract. A service agreement is only formed when both parties have agreed in writing to the scope, timeline, and pricing of a specific project.

4. Estimates

Free estimates are provided as a courtesy and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Final pricing may vary based on changes in scope, materials, or unforeseen conditions discovered during the project. Any change orders will be presented in writing and require approval before work proceeds.

5. Workmanship Warranty

Modhome Custom Cabinets LLC stands behind the quality of every project. We provide a 6-month workmanship warranty on our labor, in addition to any manufacturer warranties that apply to the materials and hardware used. If our workmanship causes a defect within that period — a misaligned door, a separating joint attributable to our installation, or hardware we installed incorrectly — we will return and correct the issue. Specific warranty terms are confirmed in writing in each project agreement.

Our workmanship warranty does not cover: damage from misuse, normal wear, manufacturer defects covered separately by the product warranty, damage from settling, humidity, or moisture conditions outside our control, or damage from third-party work performed after our completion.

6. Payments

Payment terms are defined per project in your written estimate. We accept Zelle, Cash, Check, Credit Card. A deposit may be required before materials are ordered or work begins. Final payment is due upon completion and acceptance of work. We do not currently offer financing.

7. Permits & Inspections

Some projects in Gaithersburg and surrounding municipalities require building permits and inspections. When required, we coordinate permitting and inspections. The cost of permits and any inspection fees are passed through to you at cost and itemized in your estimate.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Modhome Custom Cabinets LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our website or our services, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or goodwill.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on this website — including text, images, logos, and design — is the property of Modhome Custom Cabinets LLC or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without written permission.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action arising from these Terms or our services shall be brought in the courts of Montgomery County, Maryland.

11. Changes to Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
